Marry Durham!
Today The Beast performed at the Marry Durham event downtown. It was SO fun, they really know how to perform. The lighting was beautiful, I got some great stuff. Will definitely be using these for my final exhibit.
Friday
Today I went to The Beast's recording session. Pete's basement was turned into a recording studio complete with all the equipment and a separate room for the drummer. It was cool to watch; the lighting was dark, but I worked well in it.
Settings: 1/50, f3.5, 1600
Around noon I took some election/campaign photos for Ebonie. She is running for DSG Vice President for Student Life and wanted me to meet her in the gardens for a shoot. I had fun, this photo was one of my favorites. Check out the other ones here.
Wednesday
It is allllmost spring. The days are longer, the weather is getting there. The rain last night was luxurious, I was inside listening to the drops hit my window.
Tonight I have a meeting with Prof. Antonio about my project so far. I hope I've been doing okay with this blog. I am not sure if I am doing everything I am supposed to.
Things to talk about tonight:
- Blog entries
- Readings
- Final exhibit
- Band portraits in his studio
Monday
Peep this: The Beast's video for Translation ft. Orquesta Gardel

Tuesday
I wrote this for class the other day:
She is a creator.
Simply and beautifully.
Her eyes sparkling and seeing,
Her mind open and free.
She loves the sounds:
-the pulse of the camera
-the laughter
-her breath against her hand
-the sound of curious stares
-the hush
The wind blows through her hair.
She is a silhouette, the sun behind her, always.
Camera swinging from her neck, she direct;
Gentle, focused, enchanting.

Her eyes sparkling and seeing,
Her mind open and free.
